Atlantis
I’ve been to the Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas on many occasions, but my most recent trip was by far THE BEST! This time I stayed in The Cove, which was very upscale and relaxing. This section was a perfect fit for me because it was a little removed from the main area of the resort and was very laid back, yet hip. It was a short walk or shuttle ride to the Royal Tower, but I felt like I was at a different resort.
The Atlantis is located in the Bahamas and is a quick 30-40 minute trip from the Nassau airport. Traveling to the Bahamas from the East Coast is a very easy trip and you can be there by lunchtime! After a quick check in, I was off to my amazing room at The Cove.
The room was extremely spacious and the bathroom was HUGE! Loved the shower and tub in there with the two completely separate sinks. My favorite feature of the room was the balcony overlooking The Reef and the cruise port in the distance. I loved watching the big cruise ships come in the morning, while drinking a cup of coffee on my balcony.
The Cove is the most luxurious of all of their properties, but with the different towers, there are many options in all price points. In order to save some money while on property, I would recommend purchasing one of the meal plans that are offered. The Cove/Reef meal plan has the most options and allows for some of the fine dining options for guests staying in those two towers. The dining options on property are fabulous and you will recognize the name of several celebrity chef restaurants.
While at the Atlantis, you will not lack for activities. They’ve got it all right on property!! Aquaventure, the waterpark, is included with all of the different towers at the Atlantis. So many different water slides and activities for kids (and adults) of all ages. For children ages 3-12, they can hang out at AKA, which is the Kids Club. For tweens and teens, CRUSH is a haven for fun & excitement. I especially loved the big reclining game chairs.
While the kids are having fun, adult guests at the Cove can hang out at the hip Cain at the Cove pool. This trendy pool reminds me of a Miami Beach hangout. The drinks and music are flowing! The beach is also very nice in this area.
I had the opportunity to visit Dolphin Cay during my stay. My dolphin, Electra, was very playful and tons of fun. This is a must do activity if you haven’t done a dolphin interaction. Each group only had ten people, so you got to spend a lot of time interacting with the dolphins. Be sure to purchase some of the photos that the photographer takes.
